Our Mission is to lead First Evangelical Lutheran in witnessing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people who are not active members of a Christian congregation. To support the faith development of members and increase the active membership of this congregation.

Yearly Evangelism Events

• January-March
  • Submit the Teams annual report from the previous year.
  • Plan for the up-coming year.
  • We are always looking for people willing to join our Team in order to help promote FELC!!
• April
  • New Member orientation
    • New members will join the Pastor’s and Team members of the church to learn more about FELC.
• May
  • New Member Sunday
    • FELC will receive new members during either the 8:30 or 10:45 church service.
  • Friendship Sunday
    • This is a time for members to invite friends and family to join them in worshiping at FELC.
    • A brunch will be served with the help of the Evangelism Team.
• June-July
  • This time is spent planning and organizing for the fall events.  One of the months is taken off by this Team.
• August
  • Organize the up-coming Family Picnic and fall meals.
• September
  • Plan and prepare with the help of the Hospitality Team the Family Picnic.  This will coincide with the State of the Church Address and/or Rally Sunday, which is the kick off to Sunday school.
• October/November
  • New Member orientation
    • New members will join the Pastor’s and Team members of the church to learn more about FELC.
  • New Member Sunday
    • FELC will receive new members during either the 8:30 or 10:45 church service.
  • Dinner of Thanksgiving
    • The Evangelism Team together with the Hospitality Team will plan, prepare and serve this Fall gathering.  
• December
  • The team’s annual report is prepared.

 

• Ongoing Events
  • Send cards to the sick and hospitalized members of the church.
  • Provide devotional booklets to area hotels/motels.
  • Acknowledge and correspond with visitors to our church, thanking them for attending.
